Spring Break 2010: W E T in N Y C

We took the Staten Island Ferry to see the Statue of Liberty. We (in more ways than one) missed the last boat to see it in person.

The ferry is the only free thing in NYC. And we sat on THE WRONG SIDE for the trip out.

Dumb tourists.

(Note the umbrellas. Unrelenting rain forced us to buy FOUR at a discounted cost of $80. For parents: not such a great idea for the 44" short kid. There were some angry New Yorkers on the streets...)

(Note #2: Skinny purple jeans on my son, purchased in NYC. I love his individuality! Lots of laundry ended up purple but I will get over it. Didn't need my favorite pair of broken in jeans that are soft and stretchy, right? Are lilac jeans in this Spring season?)
