St. Louis Zoo
At the St. Louis Zoo, we stayed in the Penguin House the longest. The temperature outside was breaking records and most of the animals in the outdoor exhibits had passed out from heatstroke. The Penguin House was like a fridge! When we walked in, I was convinced the penguins were fake because they were so big--so I took a video.
We took a train ride to cool off. The train was pulled by a lawnmower engine and was miniature sized but by golly it was the only way to get a break other than the Penguin House. By then, the Penguin security must have been suspicious that we were going to kidnap a penguin because we were there so often.
