What he was trying to convey was a 'do like his buddy Andrew, a sweet little guy with short hair.
So we get to the kid salon & Lane tells Teresa (our one and only hairstylist) he wants his hair cut short like Andrew's and instead of bringing a magazine picture, he brings her the one above. Keep in mind, Teresa has no clue who Andrew is or why he wears his hair like the picture Lane drew.
I kept my mouth shut as long as humanly possible because the boys are starting to request more "independence." So instead, I took pictures. I take pictures of everything, mainly to document events because of that whole memory loss that happened after the birth of Lane.
That night, he experienced his first bout of haircut remorse. He asked me multiple times how long it takes hair to grow. Every time he passed a mirror, he would check to see if his hair was longer. He asked for some "Mane & Tail" to see if his hair would grow faster. (Not really, just threw that in there to see if anybody recognized the product!)
Lucky for Lane, he has his father's thick hair that grows like a weed. His hair is almost back to normal. He learned a valuable lesson about hairstyles and showing hairstylists pictures of how you want your hair to look.
